It was launched in May, but all has been pretty quiet with regards to the ViewSonic ViewPad 7x. Until now that is, with both a price and a shelf date finally forthcoming from the company. That price, according to TechRadar, is likely to be £315, based on a European price of €349. The company will also be showing it off once more at the forthcoming IFA trade show, not that it has changed much since the original launch. That means it still has Android Honeycomb for the operating system, as well as offering a Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, a seven-inch 1024x600 multi-touch screen, front and back cameras, GPS, a HDMI port, DLNA and SRW TruMedia and HSPA+ connectivity. It also uses ViewSonic's customised ViewScene 3D user interface, with 8GB of on-board storage and a 'lightweight yet durable' casing.Hopefully we'll have a review online ahead of that date. The original ViewSonic ViewPad 7 was reviewed by us in late 2010, but didn't get us too excited. On paper, the 7x is a significant step up from the original, but whether that's the case when we get it in our hands is another thing altogether.
