With the launch of Windows Phone 7 Mango days away, the hardware that uses it is starting to take shape – like the HTC Omega for example. The Omega is a handset that we detailed a month or so back but never caught on camera. We guess it still hasn't, as the image shown here is a press shot 'render', but Pocket Now does have an official shot, so expect it to look like this when HTC holds its next press event on 1 September. It all adds up, with perhaps one thing we didn't know (or outline) previously. That means it is still expected to have a 3.8-inch, 800x480 S-LCD display screen, 16GB of internal storage (with no SD expansion), an eight-megapixel camera, 720p video shooting, 512 RAM and a 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor. But there's also a front-facing camera here too, should you want to do some one-to-one video calling with your new phone. Skype on Windows Phone 7 Mango? Very probably. Not long to wait before we find out. With a launch as we enter September, the HTC Omega should be on the shelves well ahead of Christmas.
