Facebook addicts rejoice! There's a new Facebook phone on the shelves, with the Vodafone 555 Blue aimed very much at the affordable end of the market. We featured the phone back in July, when it was launched without any release date or price. That's all changed now, with Pocket-lint reporting that the phone is available now in Vodafone stores for £62.50. From that, you've probably guessed that it's on a pay-as-you-go deal rather than a contract. Dig deep into the specification and you can understand why.No high-speed data connectivity here – the 555 Blue has 2.5G connectivity at best, which might impact on browsing Facebook snaps on your phone, but on the plus side, means you'll not get hit with huge data charges. Aside from that, there's a QWERTY keypad, a 2.4-inch display, two-megapixel camera with flash, a music player (playing MP3, WMA and AAC formats), 40MB of on-board storage, SD card support (up to 16GB), an FM radio and Bluetooth 2.1. Of course, there is the Facebook functionality as well. A dedicated Facebook button for one, as well as messages from your Facebook friends appearing in your inbox alongside emails, with updates automatically loading in the background. Web browsing is taken care of with the data-efficient Opera Mini 5 browser. If all of that appeals, take your £62.50 down to a Vodafone shop now.
