The date has steadily shifted since it February launch, missing the expcted July date for the UK. But the HP Pre 3 could finally be heading to the UK. Any day now in fact.According to Crave, HP has confirmed that the Pre 3 will land 'before the end of August'. OK, that's not as exact as we would like, but it does mean there's not long to wait for the latest Pre. Downside? Well, as yet, we still don't know who is selling it. Yes, you can get one SIM-free, priced at around the £350 mark. But so far, there's been no network confirmation for the Pre 3. So if you want one, cross those fingers for some network movement or check the bank balance if you want to pay upfront. If you've missed it so far, the Pre 3 has a 3.6-inch 800x480 display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a five-megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash and the option to shoot 720p HD video plus a front-facing camera for video calling, the all-new webOS operating system and mobile hotspot technology. There's also a Qualcomm MSM 8x55 1.4GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and A-GPS.Limited availability of apps is going to be an issue right now, but with HP looking to license the webOS operating system to other manufacturers, interest in the platform might well grow in the coming months. For HP's sake, let's hope so. If we get network confirmation of the device, we'll pass on that news too.
