Just a day after the Galaxy Tab 10.1 was priced and dated for the UK, the Motorola Xoom has had a price cut. At least it has on the Amazon website.According to Recombu, the price has dropped from £480 to £395. Now, bearing in mind that the similar Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be sold for £399 and with half the storage (16GB in comparison to the 32GB model of the Xoom on offer), that suddenly makes the Xoom a very interesting proposition if you are in the market for an Android tablet. It's not perfect, according to our review, but it's pretty decent, that's for sure. For your money, you'll get that 32GB of storage, as well as a similar 10.1 inches of screen space. There's also a rear-facing five-megapixel camera, capable of 720p high definition video, which can also be shared to bigger screens with a HDMI connection, along with an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor. The Android OS, as you probably know, is 3.0 Homeycomb.
If all that appeals, Amazon is the place to go right now. Although with competition fierce in that market, the price just might fall again in the coming weeks and months.
