Just over two weeks after it landed on the Android platform, there's an iPhone app for Google+, essentially offering much the same in terms of functionality. It's a free app, as you would expect, with access to all the key features of Google's social network with your Apple phone, specifically Circles, Stream and Huddle. For Circles, you get the option to create mini networks of people (friends, business, family etc), passing information and media amongst them. With the Stream, you can access updates from your 'Circles', while the Huddle offers super-fast group messaging between everyone in your Circles. All you need now is an account, which seem to be more plentiful as each week passes. There are over 10 million active users right now, according to Google. The launch of the app was fairly low key and perhaps just as well. According to Pocket-lint, the wrong version of the app was initially sent out by Apple, leading to problems at that launch.Punit Soni, Lead product manager for Google+ Mobile said: 'We discovered an issue with the version of the iPhone Google+ App that was on the App Store. When we launched, the App Store started serving a previous test version of the app which didn't have the stability and fixes that the latest version had. It started serving the correct version a little later. If you downloaded within the first 1 hour 40 mins, you may have downloaded the older test version.'If you did, go get the new one. If not, you'll be just fine.
