Still looking for a budget Android phone? The LG Optimus Pro could fit the bill, although it hasn't yet been officially launched.Saying that, details are flying around the web ahead of the official splash, so expect a launch soon. In the meantime, Eurodroid claims (quite rightly, looking at the image) that this is a BlackBerry-like QWERTY smartphone, which runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has a 2.8-inch QVGA screen, as well as a three-megapixel camera on the back. No news on the processor, but don't expect anything top-end. Wi-Fi and GPS are included of course, although 3G hasn't yet been confirmed. There is a rumour that it's Edge rather than 3G.So how much? Well, it seems like the phone has sneaked out in Italy, with an asking price of €179 SIM-free. By our reckoning, that's around £157 at the current rate, although it might yet come to the UK on a small contract deal. We'll keep you posted as soon as the official confirmation comes through.
