You might recall four Nokia phones leaking online a couple of weeks back. While details were available via product sheets, images were a little thin on the ground. Well, one of those handsets has now been caught on camera, with the shots of the Nokia 700 Zeta looking fairly official. The Nokia Blog has the shots, with the specification mentioned largely mirroring what was on that initial product sheet, with some additions. So now we're talking a smartphone running the Symbian Belle OS (an update of Anna), complete with a five-megapixel camera with LED flash, a 3.2-inch AMOLED screen, NFC connectivity and a 1GHz processor.Originally this was described as 'the thinnest smartphone ever', although from those shots, we're not really getting 'skinny'. It could just be the ways the phone is shot though.
All should be revealed fairly soon, as the evidence is stacking up of an imminent launch of several Symbian smartphones, likely to be on the shelves before the end of the year. One last hurrah for the OS before Windows Phone 7 takes over for the forseeable future.
