We already knew of an Android update for the tablet just ahead of the US launch of 24 June, but it seems another update is incoming for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.According to Engadget, a new software update has been confirmed by the company online and should be here very soon. The official page does encourage you to sign up with Samsung to enable your tablet to notify you just when it lands. From that, we can assume we're talking days and weeks rather than months. When it does land, it brings with it some rather interesting enhancements. For a start, there's the Honeycomb edition of the TouchWiz interface, complete with a multimedia clipboard for copying and pasting pictures and videos as well as text, and a Live Panel widget for pulling in news, weather, and updates from your social networks. Also bundled into the upgrade is Samsung's Media Hub for purchasing video content, preloaded apps for Amazon Music Cloud Player, Amazon Kindle and Words With Friends (social gaming) and a tablet-optimised version of Swype. Finishing things off is FindMyMobile, which is a remote tracking and wipe function and additional connectivity, specificially USB, SD card, and HDMI functionality.Still no UK date, but at least when it does land we'll get a little bit more for our money.
