It's been delayed quite considerably after a launch way back in February, but it looks like the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo could be with us very soon. If you opt for Vodafone, you'll even get a little something extra – a red version of the Android smartphone.According to Coolsmartphone, the network has just put up a pre-order page on its site, offering the exclusive red Neo should you be averse to the original blue. As you can see from the image, it's quite an eye-catching deep red, perfect for a network that uses that very same colour in its branding.
Unfortunately, Vodafone doesn't answer the big question – just when the handset will be on the shelves of UK stores. It's simply down as 'coming soon', with the option of signing up for more updates. When it does land, the Android 2.3 phone will offer an ergonomic design, a 3.7-inch screen, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, an eight-megapixel camera with HD video capture plus a front-facing camera for video calling. The price is like to be mid-range, around the £30 mark we would guess. Alternatively, some retailers are doing pre-orders for SIM-free models for around the £358 mark.
