Orange has launched a new version of its mobile volunteering app for Nokia. The 'Do Some Good' app is an interesting one – Orange loads it up with 'charity actions' that you can do on your phone in under five minutes.
One example is the Photofoundation action, where users send photos they've taken on their phones to charities to use them for free. Orange adds two new actions every month.
A new action on the app this week includes a survey on what people think of mobile volunteering; the ability to upload a photo of a rundown public green space for guerilla gardeners to consider sprucing up; and five questions answered for the Samaritans to get an idea of Britain's wellbeing.
The app is also available on BlackBerry and iPhone, and since its launch on 31 March, 10,000 users have donated 1,000 hours of their time to participating good causes. If you're a Nokia user, get do-gooding now and download the app free from the Ovi Store.
