Three offers enhanced HTC ChaCha

Yes, we know the ChaCha is already available. You can secure one from the Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U stores, both of which has deals via the Orange network. But now the Three network is offering it too, confirming a little extra in the process.

That 'extra' is an enhanced processor. Initial specifications have shown a rather paltry 600MHz processor. But new details from Three, echoing something on retailer Clove's site, show a slightly better 800MHz chip. Not exactly cutting edge, but we're not complaining about an improvement, however small.

If you want to go with Three, they have deals starting at £20, just like the sellers we mentioned previously. But as ever, it's worth doing a comparison in terms of what you actually get. Alternatively, for £29 with the One Plan, there's unlimited data, 2,000 any network minutes, 5,000 Three-to-Three minutes and 5,000 texts. More than enough for anyone, we think. If you want to go pay-as-you-go, £250 is the asking price, which does undercut the Phones 4U price.

For that money, you'll get a QWERTY smartphone with deep Facebook integration as well as Android 2.3 for the operating system. There's also a five-megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash, a VGA front-facing camera for calls, a 2.6-inch, 480x320 resolution landscape touch-screen, 600MHz processor, 512MB of memory and plenty of storage via microSD memory card. All of which is available now.
