It's a little bit annoying to be talking about a new BlackBerry PlayBook before the original one has launched in the UK. But we are, specifically a 10-inch PlayBook. As ever with BlackBerry leaks, first on the case is BGR, which says that the new model isn't going to be a million miles away from the original 7-inch PlayBook, with the exception of those added inches of course. It's actually being pitched as an additional model, rather than a new model, with a launch date of the autumn being floated. Obviously, the UK will wait longer - probably until the early part of 2012.There is one other key addition though, an updated operating system, which is likely to be offered to users of the orignal PlayBook too if the inner architecture is much the same. According to BGR, that will offer an email client and BBM as standard, things sorely lacking on the original model. Facebook and video chat will be there too after the recent app launches, hopefully more too, as a lack of apps is being cited right now as the thing holding back the PlayBook in the tablet market.More news on this when we hear it. In the meantime, you can always register an interest in owning a PlayBook with BlackBerry in the UK.
