Revealed back in February, we've had little in terms of specifics for a launch date for the HTC ChaCha and Salsa. Well, now we do have a date, 26 June to be precise. Although with that being a Sunday, we're not 100% convinced. So expect it 'around' that date. Why do we know this? Well, that's the date being offered for shipping over at Amazon, which is now taking pre-orders for both the HTC ChaCha and Salsa, the Facebook phones that offer deeper integration with the world's most popular social network, one a QWERTY, one with full touch-screen functionality. Both, of course, have the 'context-aware' Facebook button, alerting you when there's a chance to share content on Facebook, as well as as sharing with just the press of said button. Android Gingerbread (2.3) also works with the latest iteration of HTC Sense to integrate Facebook throughout HTC's UI. So you are never far away from a birthday reminder, update or message. The HTC ChaCha is the one with the QWERTY keyboard, plus a five-megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash, along with a VGA front-facing camera for video calls. There's also a 2.6-inch, 480x320 resolution landscape touch-screen, 600MHz processor, 512MB of memory and plenty of storage via a microSD memory card. Want one? It will set you back £249.99 SIM-free.The HTC Salsa has a 3.4-inch, 480x320 resolution touch display, along with a five-megapixel camera, VGA forward-facing camera for video calling and, like the ChaCha, a 600MHz processor, 512MB of memory and the option to boost storage via microSD memory card. That's up at Amazon for a slightly more expensive £319.99.If both sound a bit pricey, sit tight for the contract deals. Most of the networks are offering the handsets over the summer.
