Here's something you might not know. According to colour specialists Pantone, pink is the 'colour of the year for 2011'. So if you want to be part of the in crowd, get yourself something in that particular shade. Like the new pink version of the Nokia N8.It's pretty much the same phone as previous N8s. Indeed, we reviewed it back in October 2010, giving the N8 a four-star review, with just a small reservation on the speed front. Obviously phones have come and gone since then, but if photography is your thing, there's still much to admire here. Not least a 12-megapixel camera and HD video recording.Speaking about the new shade, Rachael Bell, senior designer at Nokia said: 'Following the fantastic response to the range of colors we launched for the Nokia N8, it seemed a natural step to extend this choice. The Nokia N8 in pink complements the original line up well with its expressive, intense hue.'Not just pink for the case either. According to Nokia, there’s also a bunch of pink themed apps, too. That includes the 'Little Pink Diva Theme' for adding some colour into your menus and a 'Pink Neon Clock'. Knowing its market for this, Nokia has also added an Elle fashion app to keep you 'up-to-date with the latest fashion, beauty and celebrity news'. So you'll be the first to know when pink is no longer hip.No news on a price. We suspect the same as the current N8 and available directly from the Nokia store. We'll keep you posted if any networks are offering the pink N8 on a contract deal.
