Wireless music system Sonos just got a little slicker with a new update that allows it to work with Apple iPhones, iPads and iPod touch's.
The Sonos System Software 3.4 version updates the Sonos system so that you can hook up an Apple Airport Express to a Sonos ZonePlayer speaker and stream music from any Apple AirPlay source.
The Sonos system lets you create a set up with any number of ZonePlayers in the rooms of your house to play music simultaneously in all, some or one of them. The new update adds support for iPad and iPhone multitasking – thankfully, since you'd hardly want to stop everything on that swanky new iPad 2 to turn down the music.
Nor are Android users left out in the cold, with the launch of a new app, Sonos Controller for Android, which allows Android smartphones to be used as a remote control. Users will be able to search for songs and radio stations by typing or speaking, while the phone's volume controls will work with Sonos music.
