Samsung Galaxy S II out next month

It's official, May Day is when we will finally be able to get our hands on the Samsung Galaxy S II. The much anticipated follow-up to the five-star rated original Samsung Galaxy S will be available across all major networks and retailers from 1 May. Sporting a huge 4.3-inch touch-screen, the Galaxy S II will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and features Samsung's Super AMOLED Plus display, promising one of the best viewing experiences ever seen.

The dual-core processor should make multitasking a breeze and gaming fluid. Samsung has also thrown in an eight-megapixel camera complete with high definition video recording and playback, while the AllShare technology enables you to sync movies, photos and music with your PC via a Wi-Fi connection. The 'Live Panel' feature allows you to customise your most used applications to your main home screen so you've always got your finger on the pulse.

No word on pricing just yet, but this looks one truly awesome handset.
