We first caught sight of the phone at the MWC event in February. Indeed, we got hands-on with the handset not long after, finding it to be well-equipped for its mid-range price. Or at least, that's what we presumed the price to be. Well, now we know. Sort of.Two retailers have confirmed a release date for a SIM-free model of the phone, as well as pricing. Unfortunately, both are very different prices and subject to change, so you'll have to use both prices as a guide. However, both have roughly the same launch date, which is fairly reassuring.
According to TechRadar, Clove and eXpansys are the retailers, offering the Android smartphone from the 19 and 20 April respectively. EXpansys wants £429.99 right now for the Neo, while Clove is asking for £358.80. Like we said, both are likely to change, so read more into the dates than the cash figures. No network news as yet, but you can expect to be paying around £25 per month for the phone when it does goes on contract, with the Neo offering an ergonomic design, a 3.7-inch screen, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, an eight-megapixel camera with HD video capture plus a front-facing camera for video calling. As we said, not bad for a mid-range smartphone.
