Overall, we liked the original Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro. There were reservations about making calls and in terms of updating the Android OS, but aside from that, it pretty much ticked all the boxes. So an updated Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro should do much the same. Why? Well it looks like this is pretty much the same phone, with one or two enhancements. The images leaked via the Phandroid and IT168 sites show not a lot of evolution over the past year or so, with a 3-inch screen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard and if previous rumours are to be believed, a 1GHz Qualcomm processor on-board. The new OS is Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It also still uses the 'custom overlay' used on the first generation of Xperia devices, unlike the recently-launched Arc and Play for example. Aside from that, details are scarce. In fact, we're not even sure it is keeping the Xperia X10 Mini Pro name right now. Yes, things are that vague.Another thing we're not sure about it the launch date, with no hint of that as yet. However, with a finished handset (at least, that's what we presume) doing the rounds in spy shots, it can't be long before the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro lands on UK shelves. Summer seems like a safe bet.
