It's not exactly the most feature-packed phone on the market, but we're sure there are plenty of royalists out there who would love the Alcatel Royal Wedding edition handset. It's the perfect handset for waving in the air as the happy couple cut through the crowds on the big day, That day being the 29th April 2011. If you think you might forget, don't worry - it's printed on the back on the phone, along with the initials of the soon-to-be-happy couple. On the front, you get a union jack design. What could be more patriotic? The addition of Mendelssohn's Wedding March as a ringtone, and wallpaper of the couple? Well, you're in luck, it's got both of those too.Sadly, the phone itself is a fairly basic Alcatel One Touch, with 'functional' being about the best word we can use about it. But on the plus side, this feature-light phone doesn't come with an inflated price tag. Just under £15 will secure you one when it hits the shelves of both Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy. That could be bargain if you keep it 'mint' and in the box. In some years time, you could flog it on to future generations of royal collectors for a much-inflated price. Possibly.Commenting on the launch, Mark Eastham, commercial director for The Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy said: 'We are delighted to offer this fun, limited edition, Royal Wedding themed phone to our customers. It’s great to offer a product which really taps into the national spirit over the coming months, and is still an affordable option for customers'.
