Last week, we mentioned that Angry Birds Rio was heading to the Amazon Appstore, an exclusive when that store opens (scheduled for today, in fact). Well, that exclusive looks to relate to Android phones only, as the hot new gaming title is now available for both the iPhone and the iPad.According to Crave, the title has landed on both Apple devices, priced at 59p for the iPhone game, and £1.79 for the HD iPad edition. Not exactly breaking the bank, perhaps for good reason. It is, after all, a tie-in / promotion for the upcoming Rio animated film from Twentieth Century Fox, with said 'Birds' having been captured and taken to Rio de Janeiro, but after escaping, they now have to find their kidnapped friends Blu and Jewel - the stars of the movie. No pigs, but plenty of birds to throw, not to mention the odd monkey. 60 levels in total over two episodes, with more to come later this year. Some gameplay tweaking has been undertaken, with hidden extras and a 'spectacular boss fight', but as it's a winning formula, don't expect too much change from the norm. The Android version should also be along later today, when the Amazon Appstore finally launches. It did briefly launch in the US earlier today, but disappeared again soon after. Trust us, it's coming - and with it, that Android exclusive of Angry Birds Rio.
