Dell Streak 10 confirmed for Android 3.0

Remember the launch of the Dell Streak 7? It was first shown off at January's CES event, a 7-inch Android 2.2 tablet that's likely to be hitting the shelves very soon. In that piece, you might have missed our mention of the Dell Streak 10. For good reason too.

Dell showed off the larger tablet only briefly at the launch, said to be a prototype device, but looking like a scaled-up version of the Streak 7 pictured here. That model has now been confirmed as a genuine product, with Dell also confirming it as an Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) device and will, as expected, be called the Dell Streak 10.

When is it arriving? Later in 2011. That information is courtesy of a leaked roadmap of Dell mobile launches for the coming months. According to TechRadar, that list also includes mention of some Android Ice Cream devices.

Highlight include the Dell "Wrigley" Windows Phone 7 handset, a vertical QWERTY slider that's due in April, a clutch of Android Ice Cream devices around September time and the Dell Streak 10 itself breaking cover officially in April of this year. There's even some dates for next year, with Dell said to be launching three tablets at CES 2012, the Opus One and Silver Oak Android tablets, as well as the Peju tablet running Windows 8. Yes, they really are planning that far ahead.
