Viewsonic dual-sim V350 Android phone launches

On the face of it, the idea of a dual-sim smartphone might not be an obvious purchase. But if you want to split your home life with your work life, the Viewsonic V350 might be the right phone for you.

It means you don't have to carry two phones around, instead you can keep the one handset in your pocket, so you can keep work and home separate, maybe run two tariffs or even have one sim for overseas use if you happen to flit between countries quite a bit. It's not the first phone to offer this functionality, but unlike the majority that came before, the dual-sim aspect doesn't mean a lack of other features on the smartphone.

The V350 runs a fairly up-to-date Android 2.2 platform and offers a 3.5-inch display with capacitive touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS connectivity, a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus, a front-facing camera for video calls and microSD card slot.

No price or release details as yet, so you'll have to cope with juggling phones for at least a couple more months.
