It's the worst-kept secret in the mobile world, so Sony Ericsson might as well come clean and confirm the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. Which is has via Facebook.Sadly, the company hasn't given over the full details. Instead, the official company page offers an image, a launch date and the option to watch a preview video if you 'like' its page. The full annoucement is on Sunday February 13th at 6pm. That's the start of the big Mobile World Congress event, with SE no doubt hoping to blow everything else out of the water with its big launch. To be honest, there's little else to know about the phone, as most of the detail has been leaked over the past months. It's an Android 2.3 phone, with access to the PlayStation Suite for gaming highly likely. This is a gaming phone, so games are pretty much nailed-on. After all, what would you do with the slide-out gaming controls? Write an email with them?Other leaked features include Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon QSD8255 processor and an Adreno 205 GPU, a 4-inch touchscreen running at 854 x 480, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, 512MB of RAM/ROM, a microSD card slot and dual-microphones (to help with noise cancellation).Expect this to be big news as we get into next week, swiftly followed by network availability details. The biggest launch at MWC? Very probably.
