As we draw close to Mobile World Congress, all kinds of exciting leaks are being confirmed.
LG's Optimus Pad wasn't exactly a well kept secret, but now Recombu has dug up a Korean press release confirming that the US-exclusive T-Mobile G-Slate will launch as the LG Optimus Pad in the UK.
We already knew it was an Android Honeycomb tablet; now it's confirmed to follow in the spec-steps of the G-Slate. Specifically - 8.9-inch high-def touch-screen, a dual-core Tegra 2 graphics chip as is de rigeur these days, and 32GB of internal memory, most likely expandable by a microSD slot as per all Android devices.
Dual back-facing cameras suggest the tablet will also be able to record 3D video, like LG's Optimus 3D phone. Unlike that future-forward gadget though, it's not packing LG's new 3D screen tech and will require special glasses to view in 3D.
We'll have more for you when the Congress swings into play on Feb 14.
