Something (fairly) old and something new heading your way from the Vodafone, network, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and a white BlackBerry Torch.Let's start with the 'old', which is another take on the BlackBerry Torch, RIM's 'comeback' device and the device that showcased the new Blackberry OS 6 operating system. We raved about it last year in our review, that mix of touchscreen and QWERTY, plus the new operating system and a tasty camera. Ok, it's not the lightest device on the market, but it was a big step forward for the company.RIM is the latest in a long line of companies that are able to offer a white variation of a flagship device, a line that obviously doesn't include Apple. At least, not yet anyway. You can grab a white Torch from 10th February, that colour exclusive to Vodafone and yours for £35 per month if you sign up for two years.Alternatively, you can join the virtual queue for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, a device launched at this year's CES. Both the O2 network and Three have already confirmed they are selling the device, with an arrival date expected to be in April. As you may recall, it's an Android 2.3 device with extra wide 4.2-inch multi-touch screen and Reality Display, using the Mobile BRAVIA Engine for 'exceptional visual brilliance' and a crystal clear image which 'enhances the overall entertainment experience'. It's not bad for imaging either, with an 8.1-megapixel camera with f/2.4 lens, auto focus, face detection, geo tagging, image stabilizer, noise suppression, smile detection and HD video shooting.None of the networks have confirmed the pricing as yet, but if you like the Vodafone network or are due an upgrade from them, you might want to drop them a line or pop into the store to find out some detail.
