With all the rumours flying around, it looks like the MWC trade show is going to be a busy one for HTC. A tablet is widely predicted, but far from confirmed, but we do expect a clutch of new smartphones. Like the HTC Desire 2.The new HTC flagship smartphone has been caught on camera by Engadget, matching previous rendered images of the Desire 2 that have doing the rounds. It was apparently captured on the Taipei metro system, offering up the look of the handset, but not the technical specification. Saying that, we expect it to be an Android 2.3 device with dual-core processor and a tasty camera on-board. That's the bar for high-end smartphones right now.Obviously more or less finished, it should break cover at MWC as the headline act, unless that tablet does indeed turn up.Not so an HTC Facebook phone though. At least, not in name. Earlier in the week, one was heavily rumoured, something disputed by Facebook itself. However, it did leave the door slightly ajar. According to Reuters, Dan Rose, head of business development at Facebook said: 'This is really just another example of a manufacturer who has taken our public APIs (application programing interfaces) and integrated them into their device in an interesting way.' So no 'Facebook phone', but more than likely, a phone (or more) with deep Facebook integration like the rumoured INQ Cloud Touch, also a possibility for MWC launch. But no Facebook logo on the back, if that's important to you.
