As we predicted, the big Windows Phone 7 updates are being left to the summer, with a smaller update coming your way in the very near future.According to a posting on its site, Microsoft will begin tweaking with the much-hyped mobile platform 'soon'. We don't know exactly when, but as the company points out, your phone is designed to automatically tell you via a pop-up message (unless you’ve turned this option off) that updates are available. So keep it turned on and you might get lucky any day now. Lucky with what? Well, this is what's been announced so far.Copy and paste is the headline act. Soon you’ll be able to copy text from emails, text messages, web pages, and Office Mobile documents, and paste it anywhere you can type. It's just a case ot tapping the screen, sliding to select, then hitting the copy icon. You then tap the place you want it pasted.Faster apps and games are also promised, with Microsoft claiming it has 'whittled down the time it takes for apps and games to start up and resume'. The Marketplace has also been tweaked, with an enhanced Marketplace search making it easier to find specific apps, games, or music. Press the Search button in the apps or games section of Marketplace and you’ll see only apps or games in the results. If all that appeals, keep an eye out for that pop-up.
