Samsung Galaxy S Mini outed?

It's not got the name right now, but it's thought that the Samsung S5830, which has just appeared online, could well be a Samsung Galaxy S Mini smartphone.

That's unlikely to be confirmed until the official launch though. But that should be soon enough, with Unwired View claiming the handset will get that official nod in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. If you can't hold on until then, here's the breakdown as we know it so far.

As the proposed name suggests, this looks like the Galaxy S, albeit with a smaller profile, offering up (rather disappointingly) Android 2.2 Froyo for the operating system, with features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (version 3.0 no less), MicroUSB connectivity, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, and MicroSD card support. The display is believed to be HVGA (480 x 320 pixels) and as yet, there's no word on the processor.

Look out for more on this in a matter of weeks over in Barcelona, especially if you're a fan of the Galaxy, but just prefer a little less bulk in your pocket.
