Ok, we've seen the opposition at CES, as the tablet-friendly Android Honeycomb operating system took hold. So what can Apple do to keep ahead of the game? We might find out in just a few weeks.According to Pocket Lint, Digg founder Kevin Rose has been talking on that very subject, claiming that he has it on 'good authority that Apple will be announcing the iPad 2 in the next 3-4 weeks'. Not only that, he goes more specific, talking about a possible launch date of February 1st.That's a 'launch' date iPad fans, not a shelf date - and it fits in well with earlier rumour. Back in December, we ran a story about February being the shipping date for the iPad 2, with initial shipments of between 400,000 - 600,000 units, all of which were alleged to be going on sale in April 2011. It sounds like we're still on schedule for that.Rose also added that the iPad 2 would be packing a retina display (or something similar) and front and back cameras for snapping and video calling, something that has been talked about by various sources in the recent past. So look out for that in the very near future - the day when your first-generation, one-year-old iPad starts to look its age.
