CES: Viewsonic ViewPad 4 launches

We have reviewed both the ViewPad 7 and ViewPad 10, but now there's a smaller, pocket-sized incarnation - the Viewsonic ViewPad 4.

It isn't a tablet this time, we're now in the land of the smartphone. According to Pocket Lint, the phone should be in the UK in the coming months, hopefully with Android 2.3 on-board.

Although right now, it's an Android 2.2 Froyo phone that comes with the promise of a 2.3 upgrade 'soon after launch'. It also comes with a 4.1-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, a Qualcomm MSM 8255 1GHz chip, 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel still camera, the option to shoot 720p HD video (and playback on your TV with HDMI-out) plus Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Look out for network details for this fairly soon, as well as an online review.
