Reports are being received via the Chosun website that the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S mobile phone will make an appearance at the forthcoming MWC 2011 show that will start on February 14th in Barcelona, Spain.
There is understandably very little information available about the new design but what we do know is the new model number for the successor. Apparently, the phone will be known as the Samsung i9100.
Reports have said, however, that the new mobile will include a new version of Android, supposedly version 2.3: Android Gingerbread. Other observers have reported that the new design will include a dual-core CPU to increase speed.
The current Galaxy S handset is one of the most popular Android-based mobile phones currently on sale on the market with around 10 million phones sold to date.
