If you're considering shelling out for an Apple iPad this Christmas, there are now two more places you can grab one - and for substantially less.
Orange and T-Mobile - under the Everything Everywhere brand umbrella - will be ranging the device so it'll be available directly from the high street shops. And what's more, the device will be available subsidised on a variety of tariff plans.
It's the first time globally that Apple's market-leading tablet will be available at a non-Apple outlet, and subsidised on contract as well. No tariff details have been released yet, but keep an eye on the iPad page at the Orange website, where a register-your-interest section should be popping up soon. The tablet will be available on tariff in the run-up to Christmas - so expect it in the next few weeks.
This news comes after the announcement that Apple will not launch its next iPhone with an integrated SIM. Looks like the Cupertino company isn't going to be quite so hasty in cutting out operator stores after all.
