Samsung Galaxy S now in white

As we wait for the white iPhone 4 to make its debut in the UK, Carphone Warehouse is hoping to tempt you into the world of Android with a white Samsung Galaxy S.

Ok, it's not quite the same, but if you need something white in your life, it's still a tasty piece of kit. Indeed, it got a five-star rating on this very site. According to Unwired View, the phone is exactly the same as a standard Galaxy S and to be fair, it's not completely white - it just looks like it has had a white back plate fixed to it. At least, that's what the photos indicate. Maybe Apple should have gone down that road? Would have been a lot easier.

Features, as we have mentioned before, include the Android operating system (probably 2.1 initially, but upgrading to 2.2 soon), a four-inch WVGA touch-screen with next-generation 'Super' AMOLED, Qualcomm's 1Ghz Snapdragon processor and a five-megapixel camera with HD video.

Price? You can secure one from £30 per month at Carphone Warehouse right now. Oh yes, you'll probably get at least 6 months of use out of it before the white iPhone 4 lands. If not longer.
