Regular readers will know that we recently reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Tab, giving it a favourable write-up too as it happens. Sadly, we just got a plain model, not the crystal-encrusted Samsung Galaxy Tab now being sold at Harrods.According to TechRadar, this special edition offers more than a touch of bling, with 5,700 Swarovski Bright crystals hand applied to the casing. It's a device that will stand out in a crowd, although we don't recommend you flash it about in a crowd. Or indeed a dark alley.'The Crystal Samsung Galaxy Tab combines lavish design with incredible product features, such as a 1GHz processor, Google's Android 2.2, Froyo operating system, a front facing camera for video calls and a 7-inch TFT-LCD display,' claims Harrods.'The 7-inch size means the Galaxy Tab is perfectly portable, fits in a pocket or handbag and can be used for everything from watching films and TV, viewing pictures, reading ebooks and sharing documents, to talking to friends and colleagues via voice and video call, e-mail, instant messaging, SMS/MMS or social networking.'All well and good, but with a £2,699 price tag, which is without the mobile contract, you could pick up a standard Tab, an iPad and a couple more tablets too. We know which option we would go for.
