Back in August, we hear it was in development, but now 'real' images and some details have emerged of the Sony Ericsson PlayStation phone.Engadget has got the exclusive, with a handset looking not a million miles from the mock-up previously touted. It's said to be headed to the market 'soon', probably with the all-new Android 3.0 Gingerbread operating system and using a custom Sony Marketplace which will allow you to purchase and download games designed for the new platform. According to Engadget, the version it got hold of packed a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and a screen of between 3.7 to 4.1 inches. It also has a long multitouch touchpad in the centre, somePlayStation shoulder buttons and support for microSD cards. The interface wasn't working, so no details of that sadly. It might get unveiled in 2010, but it's unlikely to hit the Christmas market, sneaking out in early 2011 we suspect. Either way, it's an exciting development for Android and the mobile market in general.
