Customers have also been treated to exclusive product launches such as the HTC Desire in black and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 in white, while the Recycle and Reward scheme has paid out over £1 million in terms of awards to customers who dispose of their handsets in store. RUNNER UP: Carphone Warehouse

Having connected 12.5 million customers in the last financial year, Carphone Warehouse remains one of the top dogs in terms of High Street retailers and has continued to grow in a difficult economic environment. So much so that Carphone Warehouse has continued to roll out its Wireless World stores with 40 spread out across the UK, while they've also opened four Best Buy stores that sell everything from mobile phones to home appliances to TVs and home cinemas.
