The BlackBerry Torch is no longer the only phone packing BlackBerry OS 6, the newly-launched BlackBerry Style 9670 has it too.A phone you'll love or hate, the BlackBerry Style 9670 is a throwback to the days of the fold-out phone, but it is a form factor RIM has continued to use in the modern era. With moderate success though, we have to say.Not that RIM sees it like that. According to BlackBerry Style Product Manager Randy Carson: 'Our market research has shown that there are a lot of people that prefer a flip form factor. They feel most comfortable opening the device to answer a call, and closing to hang up. They also like being able to close the device and know they can put it in their pocket or purse and not have to worry about accidental dialing. Being able to discretely check the external display screen to see incoming messages is also a great feature afforded by the form factor.'This latest attempt at getting us flipping has a slightly more chunky shape to accommodate a full QWERTY keyboard, as well as an optical trackpad, dual screens, a 5-megapixel camera with flash and video recording, GPS, Wi-Fi and the option to bump up the storage to 32GB (an 8GB card comes with it).So far, it's only been announced in the US via the Sprint network, where it will land on October 31st. We would be very surprised if it didn't make its debut in the UK before the year is out. Look out for details of that on these very pages.
