Earlier in the week, Amazon was offering the HTC Trophy phone sim-free, despite Vodafone having an exclusivity deal on the Windows Phone 7 handset. Well, that's no longer the case.Amazon has apparently taken down the listing, which is said to have appeared 'in error'. That 'error' almost certainly involving the exclusive that Vodafone has on the handset. Indeed, a Vodafone spokesperson has apparently been informing people of exactly that fact we hear. So if you want one, you'll have to sign up to a two-year deal with Vodafone at £25 per month, which does throw in a healthy call, text and data package as a bonus. So end of story right? Wrong...According to Pocket Lint, the Expansys site is now offering the handset sim-free. It's not yet in stock, but it is down as coming in, so if you really want one sim-free, you might want to drop them a line. Although we're not 100 per cent convinced it will actually hits its virtual shelves. At least, not if Vodafone has anything to do with it.If you want to know more about the HTC Trophy and all the other Windows Phone 7 handsets from HTC, you'll find out all about them here.
