Virgin Media offers BlackBerry Pearl 3G

The handset got a good review on this very site and has subsequently carved out a nice niche for itself as the consumer-friendly BlackBerry. Now the BlackBerry Pearl 3G is available on the Virgin Media network.

According to Pocket Lint, the slimmed-down smartphone is now available on pay monthly deals with Virgin. In terms of specific prices, there are two 24-month deals with a choice of either 600 or 800 minutes, unlimited texts and fair usage for web access for £30 and £35 a month respectively. Alternatively, if you want an 18-month deal, you get the same minutes, texts and internet, but with the prices rising to £35 and £40 respectively.

For that you get 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, a 3.2-megapixel camera, preloaded Facebook and Twitter widgets, access to a wide range of free and paid-for apps through Blackberry App World, plus Media Sync, so you can sync your iTunes or Windows Media Player music library with the handset.

If you don't fancy the monthly cost, T-Mobile also offers the device on pay-as-you-go.
