As the world went Windows Phone 7 crazy, not least Samsung itself with the Omnia 7, part of the conmpany's marketing team stayed back in Korea to announce another smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy K.I think you've already guessed that this is another Android smartphone. According to Akihabara News, it's an Android 2.2 smartphone, offering up a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, a 1GHz processor, Wi-Fi, 3G Tethering, 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera, A-GPS, FM Radio, a MicroSDHC slot and 8GB of internal memory. There's also built-in digital TV, but we can discount that as being part of the UK model. The Samsung Galaxy K actually went on sale in Korea yesterday, available in black and white for the equivalent of£452 contract-free. The UK? It's likely to make its way here before the year is out in slightly amended form, no doubt priced from free with a contract.
