APP WATCH: Spotify comes to Windows phones

Windows phone users rejoice! The goodness of Spotify is now available for your phone. All you need now is to go grab the free app and sign up for a premium Spotify account. The latter is £9.99 per month.

Right now, you can get the app for Windows phones 6.x, offering the option to search, browse and play millions of tracks and to stream music over Wi-Fi or 2.5/3G connections. You can also access your playlists, opt to play then offline, sync playlists 'on the fly', tag those 'special' tracks, check out what's new and wirelessly sync your local files to your phone.

Windows Phone users can download the new app directly by visiting, and it will also be available for download on Windows Marketplace for mobile shortly. Windows Phone 7? That seems to be ready to go, with Spotify claiming it is 'just fantastic'. Well, they would, wouldn't they?
