We for one are very excited about the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, but it would seem we'll have to wait one more month. The manufacturer has confirmed that the iPad rival will be available from UK stores from Monday 1 November on all major networks and from key high street and online retailers such as Carphone Warehouse and Dixons Store Group. Unfortunately we're left to speculate on what the price might be.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab features a seven-inch TFT-LCD display (a whole two inches bigger than the iPad), 1GHz processor and a front facing camera for video calls. The fact that it runs on Google's latest Android operating system, Froyo 2.2, has also got us twitching in excitement. Users will be able to access a host of eBooks, films and music from the Readers Hub, Media Hub and Music Hub respectively, while all your contacts, email, calendars and social networks will be synched via the Social Hub.
