We presumed it had all been put to bwed after the weekend, the rumour of a Facebook phone that is. But a similar rumour has simply taken its place - a rumour that INQ will be making two Facebook phones, with a European arrival date of spring 2011.That's according to Bloomberg, quoting 'three people familiar with the matter'. Both devices are said to feature Facebook social-networking services, probably involving the 'deep integration' mentioned in the denial statement from earlier in the week. The new phones are due to run Google's Android operating system, which does tie in with an earlier statement from INQ about using the platform for future phones. One phone will have a QWERTY keyboard, the other a touchscreen, with Facebook apparently still undecided whether to brand them with its name as yet. What we do know is that INQ tends to aim at the budget end of the market. Mix that with Android and the Facebook branding and INQ could have a hit on its hands. In six months time, we'll know just how much of a hit if these rumours prove true.
