It wouldn't be a huge surprise if Apple did refresh the iPad line after a year or so in production, but it's interesting to hear some detail and semi-conformation of a new iPad launch. Not be Apple obviously, but from over in the Far East.Yes, as ever, the leaks come from the manufacturers of components for the product. According to TechRadar, a new iPad will launch in spring 2011 (or the second quarter of 2011 in business speak), with FaceTime video calling via a new, front-facing camera being the headline act.Earlier rumours of a 'mini' iPad around the 7-inch mark seem to be wide of the mark though. According to Digitimes, Apple is opting for next-generation, ultra-thin touch panels with reinforced glass for the next model. But so far, all panels tested have been sized the same - 9.7 inches. Which indicates a one-size device when it does land.Other details remain scarce. But with some months to go before a launch, you can bet we'll see many more rumours and leaks before the big Steve Jobs unveil. And don't forget, there's also the iOS 4.2 refresh coming later this year too.
