T-Mobile reveals HTC Desire HD pricing
Phone free for a monthly £40 fee

T-Mobile's sales team is never shy at offering the HTC Desire when you ask for an upgrade, so it's no surprise to see the network getting in early on the sequel - the HTC Desire HD.

Launched earlier this week, the aluminium-clad HTC Desire is an Android 2.2 handset, packing a 4.3-inch WVGA touch-screen with multi-touch, a HD-friendly 8-megapixel camera with image effects built-in, a 1Ghz processor with 768MB RAM, 1.5GB of storage, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity plus that all-new Sense UI and sense.com for your cloud-based syncing.

All of that for free with T-Mobile. Ok, there's the small matter of the £40 monthly fee for a rather long 24 months, but the handset itself is free.

You're asking what £40 includes. Right now, we simply don't know because T-Mobile isn't letting on. But we suspect plenty of minutes and texts and a cap on data. 500MB is the limit for the iPhone 4 and with this being equally data-intensive, you can expect something similar. So with that in mind, it might be worth waiting for all the networks to get their deals on the table and shopping around.
