Not to be confused with the Liquid E, Acer looks to have another similarly-named Android handset ready to go - the Acer Liquid Metal. The name, we suspect, is based on the design, an aluminium-clad casing that gives the impression of a high-end piece of kit. At least, it seems higher end than the Liquid E's less-than-impressive white plastic case. But it's the inner workings that will determine how high it is actually aiming.Sadly, we only know part of the story there. According to Russian site habrahabr and Engadget, it's an Android 2.2 phone with 3.6-inch 800 x 480 capacitive touchscreen, an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230-1 processor, Bluetooth 3.0, and a camera with a flash, how big isn't yet clear but we suspect it's around the 5-megapixel mark.Said to be available in both black and silver, the phone looks like the finished product, so is likely to see a launch in the very near future. Which means it should be on the shelves before the year is out.
