Ocado already does it for Waitrose goods, but Tesco will still be hoping to make a splash with its new Grocery App for the iPhone. It's squite a big launch, with supermarkets still wary about offering the full shopping experience to smartphone users. Sainsbury's for example, only delivers news and special offers via its iPhone app. Suddenly, that looks a bit lightweight. The Tesco one does so much more, creating a shopping portal that is specifically optimised for the iPhone. According to Laura Wade-Gery, CEO for tesco.com: 'We’re always looking for ways to make life easier for customers. The iPhone app creates a fantastic new way to shop with tesco.com whenever you want, whether you’re adding last minute essentials or starting a new order.'If you are already registered with the service, you can access your home store’s product range and your regular purchases, creating a brand new order or adding items you might have forgotten - the app synchronises with your computer or vice versa. You can also book a delivery slot, search or browse for specific products, see nutritional info for products and do your final checkout via the free app. It's available now, head to the App Store to get it.
