BT has introduced a free app that enables its BT Total Broadband customers to automatically connect to any of their 1.6 million Wi-Fi hotspots. Available for free on the iPhone or Android devices, once downloaded customers can breezily go about their business automatically connecting to BT Openzone and BT FON hotspots whenever they are within range. Customers need only enter their btinternet email username and password once, so they'll be logged on without having to do anything.
The app provides free and unlimited Wi-Fi access on the go and will be sure to help keep those phone bills down to a minimum. A weekly updated mapping service will also help customers find their nearest hotspot.
Available for free from the iTunes App Store and Android Market, BT is giving 50p to BBC Children in Need for each BT FON application downloaded, until they reach the sum of £10,000.
