Huawei is perhaps best-known for making handsets for networks. But it looks like the manufacturer will soon be cutting out the middle man for a budget Android phone in the UK.According to TechRadar, the forthcoming U8150, which will launch at next week's IFA trade show, is budget in price, but not necessarily in specification.Indeed, it offers up a 2.8-inch capacitive screen, a 3.2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS and fast 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity. There's also a 528MHz processor and the welcome addition of the latest Android 2.2 operating system. So not top of the range, but a good way off the cheap end too. If the rumoured £100 price tag becomes reality, Huawei just might make a name for itself in the UK before the year is out. More on this when we have it.
